1  M.U.L.E. Community / The Wampus Cave / Re: Finished with Mule on: February 10, 2015, 14:00
sjleader: I haven't gotten almost any emails at all actually.

We've known for a long time that rejoining, or more resilient connections that won't break in the first place, is a feature that would benefit many players with unstable Internet access.

Modifying the game to handle broken TCP connections wouldn't be that hard actually. Any programmer with a little TCP/IP know-how should be able to do it.

Send a PM to "data2008" if you have some ideas or questions about the game, or wanna help out in some way.
2  Planet Mule 2 / Planet M.U.L.E. 2 Discussion / Re: 0.90.1 on: March 05, 2014, 07:41
I'd just want to leave a a comment to Rhodan because we talked about this in the dev team recently: In Planet Mule 2 you can enter the city form all 4 sides, but only leave it going left or right. That's the way the original Mule worked. It's different from Planet Mule 1 but we've decided to go with the mechanics of the original game in this case.

Thanks. This is good and clear feedback!
4  M.U.L.E. Community / Announcements / Planet M.U.L.E. II version 0.90.1 released! on: January 29, 2014, 14:29
We're excited to announce the next beta version of Planet M.U.L.E. II!
After listening to your feedback, we have taken some steps towards what we believe is the right direction for this sequel.

This has changed in version 0.90.1:

- Revert to new 2D auction - actual auction mechanics are 100% the same as in the 3D auction
- 3 development phases instead of two. Player 5 always plays on their own.
- Highlight which players are about to start/are taking their turn
- Redesign of matchmaking screen
- Show visual countdown before land-grant phase
- Players are warned of reverse order due to MULE shortages
- Summary/pub phase is speeded up
- River flows only in production phase
- Misc fixes to graphics

We love to get your feedback, so please head over to the Planet M.U.L.E. II Play Page and check it out!

Note:
The game is still in beta and we're working on squashing bugs, reducing initialization time, and making the game as stable as possible. Please help us out by reporting anything strange that happens in our bug forum.

Have fun, and thanks for playing!

If you haven't tried the sequel yet, go and do it right now Smiley.

Wigs:
Please try to grab the corner of the game's window and resize it. That works on our Mac's with the same problem.

10  Planet Mule 1 / Bugs 1.3.x / Re: Mule doesn't work after java update (mac lion) on: June 24, 2013, 07:12
This is a common issue on Oracle's Java 7 on Mac OS X 10.7 and 10.8.
The simplest solution is to go back to using Apple's Java version 6. You can do it like this:

To uninstall the Java 7 internet plugin (Java 7 JRE):
Go to /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/ and delete the JavaAppletPlugin.plugin bundle.

To uninstall the Java 7 JVM bundle (Java 7 JDK):
Go to /System/Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/ and delete anything whose name starts with jdk1.7.0

Install a Java 6 runtime:
Open http://www.java.com/en/download/testjava.jsp
Your browser will show a security warning. Click the button to allow the Java applet to run.
You will be asked to install Java 6 for OS X from Apple.

Now you should be able to Play Planet Mule again Smiley

A problem with our database server made it shutdown some time ago, but now it's up and healthy again. Everything should be working normally.

We've moved Planet MULE to a new web server. If you find any problem with the website or the game then please report it here.

We've noticed that a few images are missing from the site and we're working on resolving that.
