Title: Rank based on opposition Post by: Keybounce on February 18, 2010, 02:30 If I play against people ranked around 500-600, that's one thing.
If I play against people ranked around 30-150, that's something else. Mario Kart Wii adjusts your rating based on the opposition. If I'm really low ranked, I can gain ranking points even if I come in late in the race. If I come in second against someone much better than me, that's still a good showing; my rank should go up. More than if I come in second to someone weaker. Whether second should ever drop in ranking (in a 4 player game, at least) is another question. |
