Title: The game runs in a strange behaviour on Linux
Post by: armule on February 02, 2010, 18:56
Hello guys

I've got the problem that the game runs very strange after downloading the latest release.
It sometimes gets stuck while playing (for some seconds 15-20 sec.) the game and suddenly speeds up afterwards and moves everythin in almost twice the speed it was before until it reaches the normal level of speed.
Then this routine will repeat in a few seconds.

I tried to use OpenJDK and Sun JRE 6 but nothing helped me in this case.
Maybe there is a problem with the paramters in the script mule.sh

Does somebody have an idea?
Thanks in adavance.

It might be helpful if you attach a log file where you have played at least one round. I also suggest that you close all programs running in the background which could use up your system resources.

Just to be sure the game gets enough processing time you could also increase the priority of the game's java virtual machine (lower the nice value). That setting can usually be found in a system administration panel. But I don't think that is an issue.
