Title: final summary totals incorrect
Post by: mikman on January 21, 2010, 04:20
Something is not correct, just played a game and the numbers don't add up, the log here is correct:
http://www.planetmule.com/hi-score-game/game?game_id=16234

but the screen shot attached is not, check the assets column, I dunno where those numbers are coming from but they are not correct.

Each plot is worth 500 so if you multiply the # under the plot column by 500 and then add the other 2 numbers the totals are correct

How come the assets column in the screen shot don't match the assets column from the game link?

The assets in the game does not include the 500 points for each plot. This has been corrected for the next version.

It might be a better and more informative solution to display totals as the original did, with the LAND column including both the number of plots, then a slash, and then the total equity as follows:

500 per plot
35 per MULE (this is from Kroah's doc)
X per outfitting (25,50,75,100 depending on what your plots are producing)

Then the ASSETS column should just show the total value of your goods; this may help to show newbies how the changing price can affect your score, and why someone who is stockpiling may only sell one unit during an auction, to trigger the post-auction valuation.

yes, it would be nice to split them up like in the original mule :)
