Planet M.U.L.E.

These are really great!
Each picture transports a certain mood of the game very well!

Hilarious stuff like the mule arcade in the bar or the different languages saying "NADA" in the auction  ;D

As for the auction picture, that one required the most thought and planning out of all of them (except maybe my designs for the wumpus, which I am still not too happy about). In the game, the auction is just so abstract that it was really hard to imagine what it would look like in person. My favorite of these will always be the first one however, the bar fight.

Indiana Wampus and the Kingdom of the Crystite Skull...  should be the title of that last one.  hehe

Nice work! I only remembered the bar scene for some reason. And the wampus looks like a wampus to me. In fact I can't think of a better looking wampus.

I went through a few different designs but my main goals were:

1) Mountain dweller
2) Fast moving
3) Semi-intelligent

The result was a hill-billy with 4 legs. My original designs made him look more like a rabbit.

The bar-scene is my favorite. It was my first one in the series and I spent a lot of time just thinking about it before I even started drawing. I think it really captures the essence of M.U.L.E..

My favorite is a tie between the bar and the store bidding.  They're a hoot!

Hehe, even got the colonist trying to bring a M.U.L.E. into the bar and being shown the door.  Really covered it all well.  I can't think of an aspect at the moment that you didn't get, maybe the drama of a meteorite landing would be a cool art piece!

Yeah, I've been thinking about drawing stuff like the meteorite strike. But I've been preoccupied with school and other art projects lately. But I do want to do some smaller art based on MULE.

The next MULE artworks that I intend to do are:

1) Flying cat-bugs
2) Bat-lizard
3) Pests eating food

I randomly found this pretty cool MULE fan art, thought I would share it with other MULE fans! I particulary like the 'scenes' of colony life! Good job Androidarts!

 Love the comic, but i have a question about what version of mule these toons are based on. It looks to me like the mules are from the nintendo M.U.L.E. game. And in the "pub" there is a standup version of the nes mule in the background.(title screen)


PS. did you learn mule on the nes? , if so i feel bad...the ai alone ruined that version imo.

Here's comic number 2. And no, I first played MULE on the Commodore 64... I think. But I base my fanart on the NES version, because I like its art style the best.

Totally awesome!  What would be cool is like when the pirates come, your pirate scene or any event for that matter would splash screen on the game for a moment or two.  I'm sure some people would hate the pirate cartoon before too long.

You know like when you are at the bowling alley, there is a splash of cartoon of what happen.  ie strike split.. etc.

That would be cool

I have no idea what you're talking about. The fires on Irata are an unpredictable, naturally occurring phenomenon.  ;)

He had a freaking GAS CAN SPILLED ON THE STORE WHILE HOLDING A MATCH in comic 2. Furthermore, the fire was most intense WHERE THE GAS CAN WAS!!!
