Title: Running Mule on more then one pc in a LAN Post by: Stox on April 29, 2013, 22:21 So I got Mule working by setting up the portforwarding in my router and at the same time got my son interested in the game. Now how do I set up mule so that we both can play at the same time. Seems I can only play it from one pc at the time, and it forces me to change the portforwarding setting according to what PC mule is played on.
Any ideas how to fix this?? Title: Re: Running Mule on more then one pc in a LAN Post by: muleace on May 10, 2013, 08:51 Sorry, I have no idea..
When you Google it, it seems it can't be done at all. You can only forward one computer in the LAN to a specific port. Funny thing is, very rarely you get a message from the Mule bot that 2 people are using the same IP address. I don't get it ??? That's how I do it at home. CCMuleBot is the port forwarded pc on my lan and I have no problem with other computers connecting up to it or other mule games. You don't even have to set up port forwarding unless you wish to host. Otherwise, just join an active game. If you want to have a private game within the lan with no outsiders, you don't need port-forwarding either. When you create a new game on the host PC, you just have to know your host PC's private IP address, and manually join that address with the other computers on your lan. That won't work for PCs from outside on the WAN, but inside the LAN for private games, it's perfect. You only need portforwarding if you want the host game to be accessible publicly on the web server. Yeah, only one PC can host, but others should always be able to join that one. Title: Re: Running Mule on more then one pc in a LAN Post by: Chuckie Chuck on May 14, 2013, 02:14 Download the game for your O.S. and run mule.exe, if you are on Mac or Linux you will also need to install Java if you don't really have it.
Any additional problems, update your video drivers. Title: Re: Running Mule on more then one pc in a LAN Post by: Chuckie Chuck on May 14, 2013, 02:15 The game interface is pretty easy, it starts out in a chat room interface, you click new game or join a game if you are logged in, by double clicking on a game in the list.
