Title: Playing an AI is boring??
Post by: muleace on March 22, 2013, 08:13
Hi all,

First, I do believe playing this game with 4 humans is the nicest way to go.

Second, I'd also prefer to wait some time when 3 humans are logged onto a game
and the 4th human player has yet to arrive.

But what if no 4th player shows up? I'd say, simply add a bot and go. Time is precious,
certainly on planet Irata.

Then there are some players that specifically only want to play 3 other humans, or else,
SORRY! no game... They say: "Bots are boring!" They disgust them..

Furthermore, you also have players that quit the game after an AI takes over another
player.. ..saying: "It messes up the game.."

Well.. I don't get it at all. Could be me really, but think of this:

Back in the old days, playing Mule on the Atari or C64.. With how many players did
you mostly play the game? 4 human players?? In my case it was just 2 or 3 at most.

I guess this counts for most players out here, so way make a problem of this?

Funny thing is, they often quit or want to restart a game (after an AI takes over
someone) when it looks that they didn't start the game that good themselves..

How do you feel about this?

I like to restart if it happens before round 4, but after that, I'm finishing, win or loose, it's to much time to waste just to quit.

if  and a big IF   THE ATAR1/C4 BOTS WERE SMARTER
bring them back  and it would not be so bad
