Title: Hello fellow M.U.L.E.'rs Post by: shawshawshaw on December 05, 2009, 15:44 26 years ago I was playing M.U.L.E on an Atari 800...
...here we go again, 26 years on thanks to something called "The Internet" (didn't know what that was back then). Looking forward to playing the new version! Title: Re: Hello fellow M.U.L.E.'rs Post by: Trafalgard on December 05, 2009, 18:23 I first played it on a commodore 64 a couple decades ago myself. :)
Title: Re: Hello fellow M.U.L.E.'rs Post by: d1000 on December 06, 2009, 03:27 I also played on the C64 - never got to try it against any humans - until now!
Title: Re: Hello fellow M.U.L.E.'rs Post by: Bertoid on December 06, 2009, 14:41 Commodore 64??? This game was made for Atari 800xl, baby!
Title: Re: Hello fellow M.U.L.E.'rs Post by: Danger Mouse on December 06, 2009, 18:04 It may have been made for the Atari, but I bet more people payed it on the C64.
Title: Re: Hello fellow M.U.L.E.'rs Post by: Bertoid on December 06, 2009, 19:23 I know. It's sad, really.
::) Title: Re: Hello fellow M.U.L.E.'rs Post by: vaylen on December 06, 2009, 20:02 There's a reason the game happens on the planet IRATA and not the planet ERODOMMOC. Ozark Softscape loved them some Atari 400/800 and we are all better for it.
Title: Re: Hello fellow M.U.L.E.'rs Post by: vaylen on December 06, 2009, 20:26 Commodore 64??? This game was made for Atari 800xl, baby! It was actually originally made for the Atari 400/800, which is why it supports 4 players. Love the new version, still a great game after all this time Title: Re: Hello fellow M.U.L.E.'rs Post by: NeonPeon on December 07, 2009, 17:12 I too first played this game on the Commodore 64, when I was about 6 or 7. I still play it solo once in a while on emulators, even though it's about 100 times better with live humans. :)
Title: Re: Hello fellow M.U.L.E.'rs Post by: Dolomite13 on December 08, 2009, 21:19 I had an Atari 800xl and a C64 and C128 and remember playing the game many many times back in the day. I look forward to giving this one a try... This is one of my top 5 C64 games along with Sword of Fargoal, Reach for the Stars, Modem Wards, and Omega.
=D= Title: Re: Hello fellow M.U.L.E.'rs Post by: d1000 on December 09, 2009, 04:40 Commodore 64??? This game was made for Atari 800xl, baby! I kinda wish this game's art was based on that aesthetic. Title: Re: Hello fellow M.U.L.E.'rs Post by: rantomi on December 10, 2009, 14:29 Yeah. I'd love to have that machine and M.U.L.E. with it though there was some (bug) fixes (correct me if I'm wrong) for C64 version? Only big annoyance for the C64 version is that two of the players need to work the auction from the keyboard from utterly strange keys. We do play it still though. Normally as a warm up for our Activision's Decathlon tournaments.
Title: Re: Hello fellow M.U.L.E.'rs Post by: Tei on December 11, 2009, 22:54 This version is the best one (other than horrible bugs and async the break most games).
I love it!. Title: Re: Hello fellow M.U.L.E.'rs Post by: Trenchbroom on December 22, 2009, 01:24 There's a reason the game happens on the planet IRATA and not the planet ERODOMMOC. Yeah but even your Wampus was inferior...just look! ;) :D Seriously, I have loved this game since my beloved C64 Christmas gift 24 years ago. I am so happy to be able to play it with friends I have cultivated, from primary school and from college, far flung across the earth. Kudos to the developers!
