Title: Hosting Bot Software Post by: Mainstream on January 08, 2013, 23:51 I will soon be releasing the hosting bot software to qualified individuals. This will allow others to host games for others, and automatically rehost.
I will be providing it to a select few good known players/hosts to begin with to make sure everything good. The software also has a Tite Tracker, and Event Tracker built in for Non-Hosted games. Event Tracking is automatic, Tite Tracking is manual just like the other tite tools out there. Here are some screen shots, and if you are interested in hosting please reply to this topic so others can see who may be hosting, and object if needed. I may release a Lite version with the hosting disabled as a tracker tool for everyone regardless. May be able to handle two games at a time on it via virtual machine, but for sure at least one. Let me know when it's ready.
Title: Re: Hosting Bot Software Post by: Death_Mule17 on January 10, 2013, 23:07 Please count me in mainstream, haven't had time to play in last few weeks so i may as well make myself useful. My streak is no disconnections when hosting since sept 2010.No joke
Not quite elite, but an elite killer Dm17 Title: Re: Hosting Bot Software Post by: DizNuck54 on January 12, 2013, 14:45 I would also like to get the software. I have been trying my best, but when I am at work, I can't restart. This would be a big help.
Title: Re: Hosting Bot Software Post by: Rhodan on January 12, 2013, 18:07 What are the bandwidth requirements or I should ask consumption of a bot game?
If I can do two bots per machine I can run quite a few when demand is high. Title: Re: Hosting Bot Software Post by: KingKong on January 12, 2013, 18:36 I certainly would be interested in getting this software. I use multiple computer desktops at the same time so i would have no problem hosting at an almost 24/7 rate.
Title: Re: Hosting Bot Software Post by: sjleader on January 14, 2013, 17:56 Is this software allowing the host to chose the events that occur? Just looking at your screen shot....
thanks! I too would be interested. Thanks Title: Re: Hosting Bot Software Post by: Mainstream on January 14, 2013, 23:03 I have just sent Private Messages to the first 4 people who requested the MuleTools hosting software.
Check your messages for the download instructions. After I have gotten some feedback, i will expand the host list to other ethical hosts. Please keep an eye out for these new hosts. I too would be interested. SJ Leader, the host bot does not change any game dynamics, it just means that players don't have to host a game themselves. It is supposed to even up the game play by giving people more equal ping times, as the player playing as host has NO PING TIME WHATSOEVER and therefore gets a big advantage over other players. It also helps in preventing abuse as a host with kicking, etc. Of course, with bots in the hands of new bot hosters, an abusive host could abuse the bot, but we will hope that doesn't happen. The primary game is still the same, this just adds some in game tracking and more fair game play, no changes to events or how the game plays. |
