Title: Fighting over the store Post by: john256 on January 06, 2012, 19:50 Actually, this might well be a feature but it's still annoying so I hope someone can give a clear answer one way or the other :)
When trying to buy from the store (or another player), I often get the situation myself and another player both attempt to buy, but they get preferential treatment... they can empty the whole store without me getting a single unit. I wondered if it was based on who got there first, but trying to press UP first often means I do it too fast and switch to SELL instead of BUY ;) What's the scoop? Title: Re: Fighting over the store Post by: Chuckie Chuck on January 06, 2012, 20:52 Feature, lowest place person gets preference. This is the same as original design, or one would argue that the store should sell to all simultaniously, which would be an interesting twist for future versions, but for the sake of originality in this version, it is as it should be.
Most noted bugs are as follows.... Last round food auction, has a max value of 43, it should function as energy on last round. AI's supply demand algorithm is backwards. Wants more money as demand gets lower. Right ratio, wrong direction. Play some AI training games and play the emulator with AI on original Mule and you'll see what I mean. There are other bugs that effect reliability of the game, but these are the main feature differences that come to my mind, when comparing to original. There are other minor timing issues. This helped maintain the balance between first and last. Also creating the strategy of first is not always the best place to be. In the planet mule version this is not well implemented probably due to the inherent lag in the internet. You can be last and appear to reach the line first or within a second of everyone else and not be the first to buy. This happens more often when purchasing from a player then the store.
