$1 difference is hard to beat, so the medal is yours ;)

For the tie, I guess the winner is random, just as the starting lineup.

I might be wrong, but I guess that the player that was on better position in previous round gets the "priority". Thus, if the orange player is leading in round 11 and he gets a tie in last round, he keeps the first position because of that.
