Title: repost___TITE TRACKER Post by: Death_Mule17 on December 18, 2010, 04:55 Heres roguecats tite tracker for all those who have trouble remembering where tite is, it also helps for planning as you can see the map and where every1s plots during auction. It helps out alot if you searching for plots, best to keep an eye out for others who assay, to shorten the gap. Hope this helps, couldnt find the og post anywhere!

that´s very cool, thanks for posting this! I was keeping track with pen and paper, now it´s more convenient. Greeting, Mops Samson Title: Re: TITE TRACKER Post by: Rogue Cat on December 18, 2010, 22:03 Thanks for your support. Save paper, save trees. Cats need a lot of trees as scratching posts. Title: Re: TITE TRACKER Post by: Chuckie Chuck on December 18, 2010, 23:39 I was thinking of making a spread sheet or something for this, looks like someone beat me to it. :D
Title: Re: TITE TRACKER Post by: Rhodan on December 21, 2010, 03:56 Rogue,
Is there a easy way to edit your tite tracker? Would like to see a column to keep track of the number of Store fires, pirates, pests, elves, quakes, etc Title: Re: TITE TRACKER Post by: leahcim99 on December 21, 2010, 04:22 I have a file in ods (oracle Open Document Format) that allows you to track events (player and planetary)and also you can track stite...pretty basic - let me know if you want and I will upload. ;D
Title: Re: TITE TRACKER Post by: Rhodan on December 21, 2010, 14:47 Yes, upload it please.
Title: Re: TITE TRACKER Post by: Rogue Cat on December 25, 2010, 03:05 Rogue, Is there a easy way to edit your tite tracker? Would like to see a column to keep track of the number of Store fires, pirates, pests, elves, quakes, etc I keep the FLA project, so I can make any changes needed to it. But, do you really need that stuff added? I simply type silly comments in chat like "Stupid pirates... =^¬_¬^=" when pirates come first, or "Puma pride!" when the shop burns, "Pestilicious" for plagues... etc. Then it's just scrolling up and down to check when they happened. Also a reset button would help a little with it. It's no problem to add them, so I guess it can be done in a few seconds/minutes. (By the way, check your messages. I sent you one message on 27th November and you haven't logged into the forum for a long time. Nothing important, but I want the info.) * EDITED - To avoid double posting. OK, I made those changes and the new version 1.1 is now ready. Easy to handle and keep track of events now, but is it really needed that much? Anyway, enjoy it. Title: Re: TITE TRACKER Post by: leahcim99 on December 25, 2010, 23:51 Here Rho - like I said OpenOffice from Oracle....
Title: Re: TITE TRACKER Post by: Rhodan on December 26, 2010, 04:17 Thanks Rogue. Reset and events are nice additions to your tite tracker. Would of prefer events on the same screen either to the left or right of the map so I can see everything with one glance and do less clicking and more muling.
Title: Re: TITE TRACKER Post by: Chuckie Chuck on December 26, 2010, 06:22 Open two sessions of the tracker and run them side by side. (Worked for me)

A mule game now takes up 3 27" monitors Full screen mule on one Chat window on 2 and two rogue cat tite tracker windows on 3 Starting to wonder how I ever played without eyefinity Title: Re: TITE TRACKER Post by: Rogue Cat on December 27, 2010, 02:11 Well duh! Wish I had thought of that! ??? A mule game now takes up 3 27" monitors Full screen mule on one Chat window on 2 and two rogue cat tite tracker windows on 3 Starting to wonder how I ever played without eyefinity Why do you use full screen? The idea of the tracker is keeping it on the left of the Gameplay window. That's the reason I made it so compacted. If not, I would have added an spoilage calculator too. Keeping one open for events and another one for plots is an alternative, but I guess you don't need to check them all the time. Montly results is a good moment to check everything before continue. And talking about checking, CHECK YOUR INBOX!!! * * * Message in your inbox.* * * Title: Re: TITE TRACKER Post by: Chuckie Chuck on December 27, 2010, 02:52 Well, I have my mule stuff on monitor one, and other internet/chat stuff on monitor two :D
1280x800 15.4" wide screen and 1600x1200 19"CRT Title: Re: TITE TRACKER Post by: Rhodan on December 27, 2010, 03:54 Why do you use full screen? I have checked my inbox and replied! Oh and I do keep windows calculator open too so adding one to tite tracker wouldnt hurt. Title: Re: repost___TITE TRACKER Post by: Chuckie Chuck on May 08, 2012, 13:29 I didn't notice you had a new release, I'll have to check it out. :)
Title: Re: repost___TITE TRACKER Post by: Chuckie Chuck on May 08, 2012, 13:32 Oh, yes I did, lol, I should reference that in my original review. I forgot.
Title: Re: repost___TITE TRACKER Post by: NJDevil on June 09, 2012, 15:12 Is there a way to block players who use it? Sorry Im old school use your memory.
Title: Re: repost___TITE TRACKER Post by: Chuckie Chuck on June 09, 2012, 18:49 No, it is an external program that doesn't actually relate to mule, it's a completely seperate application, there is no way to tell who is using it or not using it. I used to use it constantly, sometimes I still do, but it's rare these days. A lot of people used pencil and paper before these trackers came around, it's just a convenient way to do it without using paper.

Partially, this is exactly what the tracker is for, but instead of pencil and paper, you have it in a cleaner way using the Flash thing. Many users were already using paper and pencil notes for tracking it, so I thought it wouldn't be too different if I made that tracker. However, it went "evolving" and suffering too many changes, making it a more complex tool. Is there a way to block players who use it? Sorry Im old school use your memory. This is the reason what made me think if it would be wise to share the tracker with other users, as it might be considered "unfair" due to the colored plots help and events there. It's true that old school players are in misadventage versus the computerized player, but you should keep in mind that many players used the classic pencil-and-paper trackers even in those times. You have voluntarily chosen an different path, but you can't force others to choose that path too. I mean, if they used pencil-and-paper trackers already, they will use it yet and consider it the "normal" way to play. It would be interesting to open a poll thread to know what kind of tracking they use. |
