Title: How I (IT noob) Portforwarded on my Huawei echolife HG 521 router Post by: Gohar on October 04, 2010, 22:50 SET STATIC IP ADDRESS
I used these instructions: http://corz.org/comms/hardware/router/static.ip.address.php (http://corz.org/comms/hardware/router/static.ip.address.php) It was previously set to find IP address automatically, and as per link instructions, i entered them manually ALLOW MULE/PORT 6260 TO BYPASS YOUR WINDOWS FIREWALL control panal --> windows firewall --> advanced settings --> inbound rules --> new rule --> port --> specify port 6260 and apply to TCP --> allow connections --> tick private and public --> finish Repeat above but instead of TCP select UDP PORT FORWARDING Went to "web interface" by typing router address in browser's address bar. My router address was 192.168.1.1. It is so for most people. Logged into my router using my password (in my case, admin, admin) Went to NAT settings, and chose the "portmapping" tab. In there I chose the "customization" bubble (as opposed to the application" bubble. My settings: Protocol: TCP/UDP Remote host: Leave blank External start port: 6260 Internal end port: 6260 Internal host: Your computers/laptops IP address (in my case 192.168.1.10) Mapping name: Whatever you want apparently. Just a reference. And then i saved the settings and hey presto it all worked. |
