Worker System Reform Idea

I can't work the game on my computer but from what I gather the worker system currently goes like this:
there's several l workers with special perks (one might be faster, one might give a gamble bonus, one might find crystite better or produce it better, etc) and you bid to pick first then you feed the worker more each time you use it.
New plan:
I like the added emphasis of food this way, but I think that you should just make it that whatever worker doesn't get chosen during a round gets -1 food cost tacked to it until it gets picked. This can stack over rounds if a worker continues to not be picked, increasing the incentive for picking that worker.
