winwar is just another winzip with more functionality.  I said winrar because it's just one of the many ways, yet still simple enough to obtain.

And more complete than WinZip. Remember the post where I put my tracker first? I said that I might regret publishing the tracker, and this is the reason. But thinking about it, would it be fair if only their creators used their own tools? Maybe the mistake was sharing the tools or talking about them? There is no difference between a paper note, a note book or a tracker. Except that the tracker works faster and is cleaner to study possibilities.

As I also said then, a good tool doesn't make a good player. Even some of the best players are quite unskilled moving on the map screen. And I'm sure that even if Akire1 used a tracker that automatically reveals all crystite plots, he would be unable to win a single game. Tongue You need a good mix of skills to be a great player of M.U.L.E. Making tools can be a part of it, but if you can't plan properly, they are just a bunch of worthless data.

Should you remember that $20 is a magic number too.

You are absolutly correct Rogue.  It all varies to what side of the fence we stand.  As I mentioned, I dont have a problem with it, and they are great learning tools but seeing them still saddens me.  Same as the idea with the wampus, I dont like the idea of telling people so it makes it too easy, but at the same time, a level playing field is the best playing field.

Im just expecting to see a fully automated tool that virtually plays the game for you.  We're close!  heh

Skill + tools = very difficult opponent.

Nothing against ya Rogue.  At least you had a concious about it when you put it out.  As a programmer, I would also do such things to help the community.  Like you, I have to fight my own beliefs to produce some proggies  lol    Its hard sometimes

Interesting.  Downloaded both and took a look at them.  They both look nice, but I guess you could call me old fashioned, I still think pencil and paper is easier (for me anyway).

When you drink as much beer as I do.  I definitely need a tracker.  I can't remember well enough later in the game.  Besides, anyone can make their own tracker with a piece of paper and pencil thats what I did.  So, all the tracker does is save a few trees.
