In a recent game I was in last place and the cost of food was something like 128. I needed 1 more in order to have a full stash which I wanted in order to have that wee bit more time for converting plots to stite. I moved my little one eyed icon up to the buy line and it did read "128" yet the 3rd place person, also on the buy line with a "128" got preference for the buy. The only thing I noticed that might account for it was that his icon was about 1 pixel higher than mine, but they both read 128.

One of the other players insisted that my price said "Buy", indicating I wasn't properly on the buy line for price, while the other also said that they saw it read 128.

I'm not sure if fractions are used or if that 1 pixel difference in height makes a difference. I don't think either of these should matter and what the number itself reads should be the final say.

I don't know if this is a bug or how the game was made to work, but I am very familiar with the situation you are talking about.

I believe this is the same phenomenon that people use to block the bot from selling.   The bot will run down and if someone meets him at the store line but doesn't buy bot will stay at the store price but won't sell to the store.  It seems like there is 2 levels at the same store (or person) price.

If you really need to buy or sell make sure you keep holding in the direction you want to go.

I am not sure but i think this problem popped up when they fixed another problem of not being able to go up if someone who was selling was all the way down.

when in doubt, push up.  I've had this happen to me.  Set yourself on minimum bid, and you get rolled back down somehow, if there is competition, keep moving up until you know you are the one getting the trade (might cost just a hair more, but it usually works.)

Each price value is actually a range of pixels on the screen and players can stop at any position in this range. You'll have to move to the top of the range to be sure to buy. When the dotted line turns solid you know you've gone far enough. The easiest way to be sure is to keep holding your UP button pressed until you hear the first ding.

I noted this problem. I would guess it came when we switched to the new AI.
