Howdy! It's really cool that you all have brought M.U.L.E. to the 21st century! MULE has been one of my all-time favorite games. I played it a lot on the C64 in the late 1980's. My favorite char is the blue Mechtron, but I also like to play as the blue Humanoid too.
However, it is with mixed feelings that I write this. I have been developing an internet-friendly version of MULE for years, but my progress is not even 1/10th as far as you have gotten! Even the name is similar - "Planet K.L.U.D.G.E". Mostly I am working from memory as far as how the game works. Currently I am focusing on the server, rather than the client software, which is written in Java. And I have *no* idea how computer-controlled player AI works.
So if I join this group, play Planet MULE, and continue developing my version, will I be stepping on anyone's toes? Lemme know. Thanks!
