Part of the fun of playing MULE is meeting different people with different game style and target. YES, there are more than TWO target (colony win, personal win). I also have meet the "rude ultra-competitive" player that dont understand cooperation....  on Mule, of all games... Is somewhat disgusting. But is part of the beaty of it, to meet people that way. You takes notes of the names of these players, and avoid playing with then.  On all my games (about 40 maybe) I only have meet people that style once, so it seems is a minority of players.

I also play L4D, and I have meet horrible people there, but also nice people. Even on a game like L4D designed to make you angry, you can build a list of "friends", people that is nice and you have fun playing with, I guest the same thing works for MULE, built a list of cool people to play with, avoid the "rooting apples"

Turrican 2 killed all platform games for me.  Since It was perfect, I see  no point to play any other platform game.  Also, Turrican 2 was Epic in scale and deep, in a time where Epic was a rarely used word.

Tie Fighter killed space games for me.. but thats another history.

Kenney Approach was awesome, but.. he!.. you have to make a list, you can't list all, not even the better ones ( memory... )

Skining have other uses, like help colorblind people, people with black and gray monitors (Huh?) or other vision problems.

We can even make a "island" theme for these  "Settlers of Catan" fans to feel at home :-)

It sounds like The secret armor of antiriad, only is not, because you would have described it in a different way (not a ship, but a floating lifepowered armor).

There are a option to "detach" the game window from the main window (separate_screen?). but I doubt switching from one window to another is good on this game.

I don't see this option.

setting the option useTwoWindows to true the graphic screen is a separate floating screen. the game is less usuable that way (force you to tab from one to the other tooo often).

So.. we have a green planet, and a moon planet, now we need a skin that make the game looks like "on space" with the desert as space and the mountains as asteroids :-)

What do you think? And thanks for the idea. All I need to add to this, and I doubt I will because I'm lazy, is jetpacks for the characters and MULEs. I guess it wouldn't be that hard to do, but I'm not feeling like it at the moment.

I wish there was some way to get rid of the border.  Undecided

WooooooooooooooooooooooooW   Shocked

14  Planet Mule 1 / Matchmaking / Re: Local Multiplayer with more than 1 human on: January 04, 2010, 22:14
The original MULE is abandonware.  It is not illegal to download it.

I don't know on your country, but on mine (spain) is probably illegal.  Having a nice version like Planetmule, suggesting using a gray/or black version is a bad idea.  Planetmule is a better version on all, but balance and the intro tune (the C64 one is better).
15  Planet Mule 1 / Old Bugs 1.1.1 / Re: Game incorrectly prioritizes energy usage on: January 04, 2010, 12:44
I think thats just bad luck.   Mule able for really bad things to happend, and programming intelligent energy use would ban these types of fatalities, and I think fatalities like the one that as hit you add to the game.
Food is already too cheap and easy to get. You just need one plot or screw other player/bot, what you suggest will make more easy what is already too easy.
