Planet Mule 1 / Bugs 1.2.1-3 / Re: Auction bugged, no selling occurred

But in the first game linked, all the players were responsive. They could all chat perfectly fine and told me their pings in chat; All well below any conceivable timeout. How could a player continue to chat if their connection had timed out?

M.U.L.E. Community / Design & Art / Mules, shops and behinds
|
on: February 18, 2010, 20:23

When you fit a mule with one of the modules, the animation is wonky. You go into the shop with the mule following behind you. You stand in the middle of the shop, while the mule walks past you, equips, and goes back to what was previously "behind" you. But! Because everyone comes out of the shop, the mule again walks past you to what is now the new "behind". So it performs the same move twice, and it looks wonky.
This could be improved so that, when the mule goes into the shop to equip, it doesn't return back to its previous position but rather remains at the top of the shop, so that it's already in the correct position, behind you, when you walk out.

You can "win" negative amounts of money in the pub, which is then taken away from your bank. Steps to reproduce: - Catch mountain wambus (but don't close the message that you caught it)
- Wait for ~90 seconds
- Press Button to close wambus message
- Go to pub
INFO [DevelopmentMessenger.showMessage] Core Xii caught the Mountain Wampus and got $100 INFO [MuleGameContainer.logSkippedFrames] Skipped frames: 62 INFO [MuleGameContainer.logSkippedFrames] Skipped frames: 61 INFO [MuleGameContainer.logSkippedFrames] Skipped frames: 61 INFO [GameModel.gamble] (P10) Core Xii gambles $-179, max: 47.5, left: -92.8, fraction -1.9536843 INFO [DevelopmentMessenger.showMessage] Core Xii won $-179 in the pub

Planet Mule 1 / Planet M.U.L.E. 1 Discussion / Changing character
|
on: February 17, 2010, 17:16

Why can't we change our characters? It's cosmetic only, with no effect on gameplay. And if gameplay effects were introduced, you definitely would need to allow everyone to re-select their characters anyway or it wouldn't be fair.
When I created my account I hadn't even played the game, I had absolutely no idea what the characters look like in-game. So I chose the safe option, human. But now I realize that it's also the boring option, and want to select better, now that I'm more informed.
