Title: Final round CHEATING at auction?
Post by: DaCleaner on January 11, 2010, 15:32
Isn't the last round auction not supposed to effect the scores?

Here's my question:

In the 12th round of game DNX-3795 ( http://www.planetmule.com/hi-score-game/game?game_id=14692 (http://www.planetmule.com/hi-score-game/game?game_id=14692)), the player Drivefast purchased all items from YaMama for extremely high prices ($500+ each).

Did this somehow unfairly inflate YaMama's total score?

Comparing the 11th and 12th round figures: YaMama's cash went up $13k, while Drivefast's went down $10k.  Another interesting observation (from the log) "drivefast has the same IP address as YaMama"

Thanks in advance!

Yeah, that's not right.  What I'd like to see is a blocked user option so that we can stop certain profiles from playing in games we host or flag it if they are seen in a game someone else is hosting that we join.

To keep this from being a public shunning situation, the best way to implement this kind of feature is allow users to define other users as "friends" or "foes", which would make their names green and red in the lobby interface - this way, in the future, you'll be able to steer clear of people you think are not good sports, and try to hook up with game with people you enjoy playing with.
