Thank you for your vote. If we get enough votes for yes, we can probably have a popular video game designer create M.U.L.E. for the voted consoles and handhelds!

Like the idea, but agree with Mt. Wampus.  The planet M.U.L.E. effort has been a vollunteer venture at this point to my understanding, with the endorsement of the family that holds the rights to the original game.  For it to reach console gaming would be a geniune feat, chances are good if you're looking at running homebrew software on a modded console game system, but probably not as a mainstream off the shelf item that was authorized for use by the console manufactuer, there are royalties to be paid just to publish software that will run on a game console legally, and I don't see that happening here.

A vote on Planetmule isnt going to get the game to a console. Wishfull thinking on your part. People have been talking about having M.U.L.E. on consoles for years. Believe me if there would be money to be made they would and maybe still might but not because of our vote. Haha. If mule does ever come out on a console i hope they do it up right! For example the ability to control the event types and frequency with slider bars and such. For example you can customize the max number of times the Pirates can come in a game from 0-3 max or how many fires in the store you can have from 0-4 maximum. Also length of turn or number of earthquakes for example. Have the ability with sliders to adjust how the bad/good events are distributed. For example give 60% of bad events to 1st place and 40% to 3rd. Or 50% to 1st 35% to 2nd and 15% to 3rd(just examples). Be able to unlock different planets with different looks and characters. I think the game would succeed if done right but not if done half heartedly.  The young crowd is where the $$$ are on consoles not us old farts with retro memmories of days gone past. The young crowd would demand more and the console version would have to deliver the goods! just my humble opinion.

This game might not get widely distributed in stores (though it should be). But I could see it doing well if you got it on the wii shop channel. You could download it right to the wii and play online with other people. It would be a great idea, and it can't be that hard to get it on to the wii shop games. (It might be that hard I really wouldn't know.)

This game even today has tons of potential.  I think it could be broadened like, into stock trading, currency, commodities trading and what not.  Obviously at a much lower level then the way things really work in society.  However, it could be one of the best tools for economics teaching ever made.

Example -
Basics
Food
Electricity
Gas
Water
Infrastructure
Steel
Cement
Plastics
Health care
Doctors
Emergency care
Medicine

oh god.. ill just stop there.. im thinking a sim now.

but, the game could be ramped up to cover more aspects of Macro economics.
